Sembilang National Park is representative of peat swamp forest, freshwater swamp forest and riparian forests (riverside) in the Province of South Sumatra.
Thousands and even up to tens thousands migratory birds Siberian origin, can be witnessed in Sembilang which peaked in October. This is an interesting attraction for migratory birds observed, as can be heard directly roar birds fly together and cover up the sound of Bangka Strait’s waves.

Other bird species such as Asian blekok (Limnodromus semipalmatus), spotted sandpipers (Pseudototanus guttifer), white pelican (Pelecanus onocrotalus), white bluwok (Mycteria cinerea), tom-tom stork (Leptoptilos javanicus), white wing terns (Chlidonias leucoptera), and so on .
Northwest side of Sembilang National Park directly adjacent to Berbak National Park located in Jambi Province.
Sembilang National also included one of Ramsar Sites of the world.

The Banyuasin Peninsula, Sembilang, Benawan Gulf, Gulf Sekanak, Betet Island. Scour the river while observing wildlife, mangrove, fishing, watching Siberian birds migratory and freshwater dolphins
Cultural attractions outside the national park:
Krakatau Festival in July in Bandar Lampung and the Lake Ranau Festival in December in Oku-South Sumatra.
