DAY 1 :

Ijen

IJEN CRATER

SURABAYA – IJEN

Upon your arrival at Surabaya Airport (night time), you will be pick up by our guide team, and proceed to Mount Ijen for about 6 hours drive by car, Dinner will be at local restaurant at agreed time.

DAY 2 :

IJEN – PEKALEN – BROMO
Estimate time of arrival at Ijen is 3.00 to 4.00 am. Arrived at Ijen area, you can enjoy some hot drinks, and the cold weather of Ijen Plateu. Afterwards, you will start walking up to the crater of Mount Ijen. Along the way to the crater, you will find some people carry two baskets joined by a bamboo cane on their shoulder, with weight up to 100 kg, to get 800 Rupiahs for each Kg.

SULFUR MINERS at IJEN CRATER

You will arrive at the rim crater of Ijen approximately 5.00 am, before the sun rise, and if the skies are clear, you might able to see the blue lights which come from the bottom of the sulphur mine, people called this as a “Blue Fire”.

After admiring the beauty of Ijen Crater and taking a lot of pictures, its time to go back to the entrance gate, and having breakfast. Afterwards, continue driving to Pekalen River at Probolinggo for about 3 hours land drive.

RIVER RAFTING at PEKALEN RIVER

 

Here, you will experience wading the River of Pekalen through some wild rapids with a rubber boat. Besides, you can also testing your adrenaline by jumping into the river from a bamboo bridge with a height of 5 meters. And enjoy a fresh young coconut, along with some traditional snacks.

Reach finish point, drive back to the entrance gate for shower and lunch, and then proceed driving to Hotel at Cemoro Lawang Village, Bromo Area.(L,D)

Tips :  If you intend to take pictures with the sulfur miners, it is better you provide a reasonable fee for them. And along the road to the crater, some miners might offer sculpture / carving craft of solid sulfur. You can buy it, or refuse well.

MT. BROMO SUNRISE FROM MT. PANANJAKAN

 

DAY 3 :

BROMO – PANANJAKAN – SURABAYA

Early morning call, around 3 am, as you will start driving by 4×4 jeep, to Mt. Pananjakan where you can see a panoramic sunrise, and you will also see the crater of Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, the sea sand of Bromo, and the magnificent Mount Semeru at a distance.

After taking a lot of beautifull pictures, back to the jeep, and continue driving down through a seasand of Bromo, to the temple of Bromo, where also the parking area for  the Jeeps. From here, you can walk for about 30 minutes to the rim crater of Bromo, or you can rent a horse and ride it to the stairs of Bromo crater and continue walking up to the Rim of Crater for about 10 minutes.

From here you can see the beautiful crater of Mount Bromo from a very close distance, where you can see the smoke coming out of the bottom of the crater.

Afterwards, back to the Jeep, and continue driving back to the Hotel for Breakfast and shower. Then proceed check out, and driving back to Surabaya (B,L)
